Short but cute.
This prototype is from the Czech Republic and I believe was home made.
Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) SD40 with the Warbonnet paint scheme hauls cargo through a backyard garden railsway. This G scale layout, while only a glisp shown in this video looks to be alot of fun. The Warbonnet paint schoeme was devised by Lelan Knickerbocker of GM Art and Color section. It was inspired by the Native American ceremonial headdress. There is a red “bonnet” that wraps around the front of the engine and the remainder of locomotive was painted silver or had stainless-steel panels. The design has a patent protecting it so no copying.
If it wasn’t for the house in the background, you would think this is a real size train. Enjoy the quick video.
OK, you saw the full size snow plow a few posts ago, now watch a G scale Diesel help plow this guys backyard. No doubt he couldn’t wait for the first snow fall to try this out. I thought the train would get buried or stuck a number of times, but it kept on chugging. How fun.
